If you’re in the “I love summer but I’m over this heat” stage ☀️🥵 — honestly, same.

Between the humidity, the bored kids 😅, and the sudden urge to spend $500 at Costco just to escape the house and get a well priced ice cream 🍦… it’s a lot. So I put together a little Summer Survival List for you. Whether you're trying to entertain your crew, cool off, or just get out of the house without losing your mind (or your budget).

Here’s what’s on my radar this July!

💦 Meador Park Splash Pad + Carothers Coastal Gardens – good for littles, shady enough for parents, and free.
🌊 Clear Lake Park – playgrounds, picnic spots, fishing pier, and waterfront breezes. Instant summer vibe.
🎶 Barge 295’s patio – live music, shade, snacks, and space for the kids to wiggle without judgment.
🍑 Froberg’s Farm – it’s peach season and the cider slushies are worth the drive.
🎬 Movie nights at Kemah’s Main Street – bring chairs, snacks, and bug spray. You’ll thank me.

There’s more where that came from. I’ve got farmers market faves 🥕, ice cream recs 🍨, and my secret picnic spot that usually has parking 🚗.

Want the full list? Just reply SUMMER and I’ll text it over.

We don’t need flights or fancy plans to enjoy July 🛫. Although, I’d never turn those down 😎 — but sometimes just a good list, cold drinks 🧊, and a little creative exploring in our own town can be just as magical.

(This totally brings back yearbook vibes from back in the day but I’m gonna say it anyway lol)

Stay cool! 😉
